Nasolabial fold filler uses hyaluronic acid based dermal fillers to restore support and soften the crease. Importantly, the fold is often best treated by replacing the lost volume in the cheek that is causing the shadow, rather than only injecting the line, which can look heavy if overdone. Recovery, downtime and aftercare
There is minimal downtime and most people return to normal activities the same day. Mild swelling, tenderness or the occasional small bruise can occur and settle within a few days.
- For the first 24 hours, avoid intense exercise, saunas, steam and alcohol.
- Stay upright for the first few hours and avoid makeup over the area for around 12 hours.
